I made a previous post but it was made in a panic, and got like a 1000 notes, and it's all still an emergency. To summarize. We are fleeing our extremely red state. We have face increasing danger and difficulty acessing medical care. My fiance is particularly in danger, he's been a citizen since he was less than a year old, but that doesnt help a lot of ppl these days.
We have a safe, more affordable place we are going with a welcoming community waiting and lots of help with the moving process. What we don't have is the money to move.
We have appointments we need to get to before we leave, a uhaul to get, and a whole mess to handle in relation to my phone plan before we leave. For the sake of keeping this short, here's where I explained the phone stuff in an ask.
Anything helps. We are about halfway there. I've has to raise the goal some because we have more accurate estimates and costs starting to roll in now, and things are costing a lot more than expected. This is urgent. We move in about a week maybe a few days more (just around my birthday it's looking like🎂) Please dm me for more details. Sorry for the late update. First of all, thank you so so much to everyone who has helped in any way with this. Our moving dates keep moving around because we are coordinating with others for safety along the way.
This goal has been met, but in total everything has ended up costing closer to $3,500 and any help is still appreciated because we are looking at moving up there broke rn. We are about $20 away from getting some last minute things we need for the trip itself.
Our moving dates continue to change around which is not abnormal for the situation, but it's definitely fucked up my budgeting for this even further. I know this has like 1,000 notes rn, but again, this has ended up costing over 1k more than planned, and we could really use any help to get food and toilet paper to last us a couple more days. I'm sorry ik this is probably getting annoying, but I genuinely cannot thank you all enough.
